Arson Incident Reported at Local Rehabilitation Center

An early morning disturbance at a rehabilitation center on Greenwood Avenue North led police to respond to a reported arson incident. According to dispatch records, the call came in around 2:05 am, with reports of a resident attempting to set fire to the building and succeeding in setting a bulletin board ablaze.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with staff members Daniel Nerocker and James Ihrig, who were with the suspect, Donald E Wadsworth, in the office. The area showed signs of a recent fire, including items on the wall that had been set ablaze, water on the floor, and a fire extinguisher nearby. Security footage reviewed by police appeared to show Wadsworth, 61, walking into the kitchen, removing his underwear, and lighting a cigarette before proceeding to light various paper items on fire throughout the common living area.

Wadsworth denied any involvement in starting the fires, claiming he was searching for the person responsible. When questioned about his decision to remove his pants, Wadsworth stated that he and other residents were 'crazy'. The incident is currently under investigation, with police having obtained security footage of the events. The rehabilitation center's management has cooperated with authorities, uploading video evidence to aid in the inquiry.
