Woman Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Boyfriend with Metal Object

A domestic violence incident occurred on February 8, 2025, at an apartment building in the city. The victim, Ericson Concepcion Diaz, reported that his girlfriend, Dia Marie Tacardon, threw a metal spray can at him, striking him in the head and causing bleeding. According to Diaz, the incident happened as he was trying to break up with Tacardon and was leaving their apartment.
Diaz stated that Tacardon had gotten physical with him in the past, but never to this extent. He also mentioned that she does not have access to firearms and is not known to have any substance abuse or mental health issues. The police officer who responded to the scene, Walter Klatt, photographed Diaz's injury and the suspected blood droplets on the ground, as well as the metal spray can used in the alleged assault.
Tacardon was identified as the suspect and her information, including her home address and description, was documented in the police report. The incident was classified as a domestic violence case, with Tacardon being the aggressor. Diaz was provided with a domestic violence brochure and advised to apply for a court order against Tacardon. He was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injury, which was described as an apparent minor injury with bleeding from the head.
The police report also noted that there were no children present or involved in the incident. The case is currently under investigation, and charges may be filed against Tacardon pending further review of the evidence.
