Seattle Man Detained for Trespassing at Department of Transportation Facility

On February 7, 2025, Seattle Police Officer Kade Nichols responded to a report of unlawful entry at the Seattle Department of Transportation location on S Charles Street. Officers detained Jason Noel Killingsworth, who was reportedly seen following an SDOT vehicle through a secured gate into the premises, amidst a series of no trespassing signs.
Upon approach, Officers observed Killingsworth experiencing difficulty with balance and speech, indicative of impairment. Further investigation revealed an outstanding DOC Warrant for Escape Community Custody against Killingsworth. He was placed under arrest after officers verified his identity using a mugshot photo.
Due to medical concerns, including high blood pressure and suspected substance impairment, Killingsworth could not be booked at SCORE jail and was transported to the Valley Medical Emergency Room for treatment. Due to low staffing levels and time constraints, officers released Killingsworth at the hospital.
Authorities recommend that charges of 1st-degree criminal trespass be referred to the Seattle Law Department. This incident has prompted further investigation to ensure compliance with jurisdictional regulations and public safety standards.
