Incident at Miller Park Leads to Multiple Arrests

On the night of March 10, 2025, an altercation at 620 18th Ave E in Seattle resulted in the arrest of three individuals following a reported vehicle break-in. Police Officer Joseph Wohlwend responded to the call at approximately 10:48 PM, where he discovered the victim, Susan Gatluak, and three suspects: Rondell L. Ento, Brian M. Smith, and Genesis R. Miner.
Gatluak reported a troubling encounter with acquaintances Ento, Smith, and Miner, whom she had spent time with over the weekend. The group had parted ways after spending Saturday night together, but later gathered at Gatluak’s residence. The suspects attempted to use Gatluak’s vehicle, which had suffered a brake failure earlier. The situation escalated when Ento allegedly threatened violence if Gatluak refused to drive them.
Despite Gatluak's refusal and demands for the group to leave, the confrontation turned violent when Miner allegedly struck Gatluak in the face several times. The altercation forced Gatluak to seek refuge in a women’s shelter and eventually contact the police.
Officer Wohlwend arrested Miner for Fourth Degree Assault, Ento for Harassment and on outstanding warrants related to firearm possession and assault, and Smith for Criminal Trespass. The arrests were supervised by Sgt. Eric Rusher. Evidence of Gatluak's injuries was documented and uploaded to police systems.
The incident underscores challenges faced by law enforcement in rapidly de-escalating potentially violent situations, reflecting ongoing concerns related to community safety and criminal activity in the area.
