Assault on Healthcare Workers Reported at Swedish First Hill ER

On November 23, 2024, an incident involving the assault of healthcare workers was reported at the Swedish First Hill ER entrance in Seattle. At approximately 5:20 PM, police were dispatched to the scene following reports of a patient allegedly assaulting a healthcare worker.
According to the police report, the suspect, identified as Ruth Hogan, was upset during a medical examination and subsequently punched healthcare worker Adrianne Soo in the chest with a closed fist. Ruth Hogan then proceeded to kick another healthcare worker, Kaira Eleuterio, multiple times. Both healthcare workers reported the incident but did not sustain serious injuries.
Victim Adrianne Soo recounted that she was assisting her colleague Kaira Eleuterio with unhooking a monitoring device when the altercation occurred. Despite Ruth Hogan's aggressive behavior, both victims were able to protect themselves from serious harm.
Responding Officer Esteban Monreal noted that the suspect, Ruth Hogan, had left the ER on foot before the authorities arrived and was described as homeless with no known address. The investigation is ongoing as the Seattle Police Department seeks to locate the suspect.
