Man Arrested After Violent Altercation at Seattle Pizzeria

A 27-year-old man, Samuel Hitchcock, was arrested outside Big Mario's Pizza on the night of February 8, 2025, following a disturbance that prompted a police dispatch. According to the Seattle Police Department's report, Hitchcock, who appeared intoxicated, attempted to break the restaurant's window and allegedly tried to strangle a female individual.
Upon arrival, Officer Jayson Langworthy observed Hitchcock being restrained by the pizza restaurant's security personnel. Hitchcock accused security of racism without providing specific reasons and proceeded to physically confront Callum J. Dickson, the establishment's security manager. In the altercation, Hitchcock reportedly shoved Dickson, used derogatory language, and threatened violence.
Tensions escalated when Hitchcock brandished a switchblade knife after threatening to kill Dickson. In defense, Dickson punched Hitchcock, and together with other security staff, managed to disarm him and detain him using mechanical restraints. Despite the efforts to subdue him, Hitchcock remained aggressive, attempting to strike and bite the security personnel.
Officer Langworthy recovered the knife and documented minor injuries sustained by Dickson, who was bitten during the altercation. No medical treatment was sought for the minor injuries. The incident was captured on body-worn video and in-car video systems for detailed review.
This arrest highlights the ongoing risks faced by local businesses and their security teams when confronting aggressive individuals on their premises. The Seattle Police Department and the City Attorney's Office are continuing their investigations and legal proceedings against Samuel Hitchcock.
