Seattle Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure and Theft at Local Grocery Store

Seattle police apprehended Gabriel Stanley Hoffman on February 18, 2025, after multiple reports of indecent exposure and theft at a Whole Foods location in North Seattle. The incident occurred around lunchtime and disrupted shoppers at the busy grocery store, including families with children.

Police were called to Whole Foods at 1026 NE 64 ST after witnesses reported that a man, identified as Hoffman, exposed himself to customers while walking around the store with his pants around his ankles. Witnesses also reported that he stole a pizza from the café section of the store.

Hoffman, who appeared to be under the influence at the time, retreated to the store's restrooms before officers arrived. Store manager Becky Aceituno and security member Tony Solis confirmed Hoffman's actions based on eyewitness accounts and video evidence provided to the police.

Upon arrival, Officer Alexander Baugh and backing officers found Hoffman, who matched the description given, outside the men's restroom. He was described as disheveled and appeared to be covered in feces, requiring clothes adjustment at the scene.

During the arrest, it was discovered that Hoffman had outstanding warrants, including a misdemeanor for criminal trespass and a felony warrant for escape from custody. After being informed of his Miranda rights, Hoffman admitted to taking the pizza due to hunger and lack of funds.

Hoffman was taken into custody and charged with theft and indecent exposure. He remains in custody at King County Jail. Officer Baugh's arrest was overseen and approved by Sgt. Lima.
