Intoxicated Man Detained After Disturbing Incident at Seattle Pizzeria

A chaotic scene unfolded at a pizzeria located on California Avenue SW in Seattle on February 16, 2025, when an intoxicated man reportedly attempted to instigate a fight with employees and patrons. The Seattle Police Department was called to the scene at approximately 9:31 p.m., following reports of disruptive behavior by Cameron Ross, 40, who was later arrested on the premises.

According to the police report filed by Officer Giovanni Petrovic, Ross allegedly spent 20 minutes in the restaurant’s bathroom before emerging to confront and yell at customers and staff. Delivery driver Michael Fox recounted how Ross tried to engage him in a physical confrontation and reportedly bear-hugged and attempted to wrestle him. Despite repeated efforts by Fox and others to deescalate the situation, Ross continued his aggressive behavior.

Upon the police's arrival, Ross was outside the restaurant, appearing heavily intoxicated. Officers noted his inability to follow instructions, which included repeated requests to keep his hands visible. Due to concerns over his non-compliance and safety, Ross was detained in handcuffs while officers conducted a full investigation.

Officer Petrovic reported a strong smell of alcohol on Ross's breath and noted his struggles with maintaining balance and coherence. After being read his Miranda rights by Officer Wang, Ross was informed of his criminal trespass from the pizzeria, effectively banning him from returning to the establishment. No weapons were found on Ross during a search.

The incident, documented in the Seattle Police Department's General Offense Report, has since led to Ross’s legal proceedings, as noted in the case filed by the Seattle City Attorney’s Office. The pizzeria staff, shaken by the incident, requested Ross be barred from the premises to ensure the safety and peace of mind of employees and customers alike.
